NICE: France thrashed Gibraltar by a Euro record 14-0 at the Allianz Riviera to come within reach of extending their perfect qualifying run with eight wins in eight games. To do this they will have to win in Greece next Tuesday.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaire-Emery became the youngest France debutant and scored a goal. Zaire-Emery was 17 years eight months, younger than Eduardo Camavinga who had been 17 years nine months.

France were 2-0 up after four minutes and, in seven minutes, scored a further four – the first from Kylian Mbappé with a penalty, one from Clauss and Coman and another from Fofana , who had come on for the injured Emery. That made it 7-0 at half-time.

In the second half the tone was the same. Rabiot made it 8-0 after 65 minutes, Coman struck again then Dembele made it 10-0 to equal the biggest win in France ‘s history . From there it was about increasing the record.

Mbappé was responsible for breaking the record after an assist from Theo Hernández then completed his hat-trick before Olivier Giroud completed the rout.
